Blue code

When investigating the murderer of Garret Phillips, fingers only seemed to be pointed at Nick Hillary.  The majority of the investigation was spent targeting and concentrating on only one suspect. Lacking  circumstantial evidence, and throwing a blind eye to any other possible suspects. The investigators seemed to be looking for a conviction rather then the right person. While fingers where being pointed at Nick Hillary, John Jones stood in the distance with a questionable trail behind him. Yet the attention remained diverted. The reason for this being the position of power John Jones held within the law enforcement, allowing him to clean up his own mess. This is a pattern widely spread across America, with many cases of officers covering up for themselves or colleagues. The "Blue code" or "Blue wall of silence" are terms commonly used to acknowledge the informal rule that exists among law enforcement not to report on a colleges errors, misconduct or crimes. Ranging from police brutality to even murder. And if questioned about the incident they are to claim ignorance. It is this type of corruption in our levels of government that cause concern. These officers are willing to go to great extents to cover up their tracks. From lying and fabricating stories under oath, to falsified documents as "evidence" to even the targeted conviction of a possibly innocent man. How are we supposed to trust the very system set up to seek justice if it can be so easily tampered with?

  2. I believe that it was very unfair what they were doing to Hillary because he had nothing to do with the death of Garret and they were mostly targeting him just because of his skin color. Why did they only target just Hillary if they could have also questioned John Jones just because he wasn't black ? This case was not handled correctly because while they were focusing on him they were letting the real murder get away and till his day I don't think that they know who killed Garrett
