Morals VS Ethics

As we have seen time and time again in this class your morals and ethics seem to be similar, but after taking a deeper look they are really different. dictionary.com defines morals as "of, relating to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong." this means what is wrong or right in a large group environment, like the laws of a city or country or even just your family. ethics on the other hand is defined as " the moral principles, as of an individual." Ethics are more personalized for yourself and what you believe is right or wrong.

One example we were shown of this in class was in the roll red roll documentary the older folks in the community did not believe that was the football players were doing wasn't that bad and that the girl was asking for it. But when the rest of the world heard about the news they all believed that what they were doing was really wrong and disgusting. that just shows that one group can have very different views on life than others.
