Power of the people

In a society in which our system more often then not doesn't make the people's best interest a priority, it falls in our hands to fight for our fundamental rights.  Without action taken from the masses, nothing gets done. In the case of Rodney King, if action wasn't taken to take the video in the first place nothing would have been done. If action wasn't taken to protest after the wrongful verdict from the first trial, justice would have never been met.  It's sad that it falls in the hand of the people to defend themselves from the very system put in place for them.  But without action, our corrupt and selfish system will never change.
