"Good or Evil"
In the documentary called "Good or Evil" they had a lot of experiments to see if people had a good or bad mindset. I thought two out of the many experiments caught my attention the most. The one that confused me was the experiment with the babies to see if they would prefer good or evil. The experiment had parents volunteer their children to see if they had good or bad impulses and how it would affect their adult behavior. They started the experiment off with toys passing the ball nicely then showed them again but this time having one of the animals taking a ball away and being mean to the others then making them choose between the two stuffed animals. About 70% of the babies chose the "good" stuffed animal and about 30% chose the "bad" and it shows that they probably don't understand what was going on and just chose randomly. I believe that this experiment will not affect the babies but their environment that they grow up in will determine in they are "good" or "evil".

I totally agree with you when you say that the experiment they did on the babies isn't reliable and shouldn't determined if the baby will be bad or good. What did you think about the other studies?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you because babies have different types of influence that they are surrounded by which could potentially change their mindset in the future as they grow up. Do you think that they should test the same group of babies as they continue to grow? I think it would be interesting to see how each baby develops their thinking process and to see if they have some strong influence over them.
