In 2012, Trayvon Martin was fatally shot by George Zimmeramn. Is it believed that the death of Trayvon was one that was racially motivated because Trayvon was unarmed the night of his death and Zimmerman had followed/chased Trayvon. Zimmerman was later acquitted but he is now suing the parents of Trayvon. Zimmerman wants $100 million because he feels that he is a ‘victim’ of a conspiracy. Zimmerman has hired a very questionable lawyer, Larry Klayman, who once submitted a petition to have Obama deported and has a history of suing black lawmakers. Larry is helping fight for Zimmerman’s case by claiming that a key witness to the case, Rachel Chantel, was an imposter.
There is much more to the death of Trayvon as well as much more controversy behind it but why would Zimmerman want to sue the family after so long? The incident occurred about 8 years ago but as of a couple days ago, (about 4ish days) Zimmerman and his lawyer have begun to fight for the $100 million dollar lawsuit. There isn’t enough, if any, evidence to support their claims. There has already been enough controversy behind the death of Trayvon, why does he want to sue? I think that even if Zimmerman feels that he is a ‘victim’ of a conspiracy, he shouldn’t proceed with the lawsuit, he already has brought enough grief to the Martin family, he was already acquitted so why does he still feel the need to pursue this? If anything it seems like he has no remorse for killing this young boy.
It's angering to hear that even after shooting and killing Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman believes he is the victim. Of course people are going to speak up about what they think about him, why wouldn't they? People are angry that there was yet another shooting of an innocent black individual. It's unfortunate that this issue still persists today.
