US vs ISIS
__
There are currently 13,000 Us troops deployed in Eastern Afghanistan in order to combat forces against Isis. Applying constant pressure against the jihadist group has nearly caused it to be abolished. During a Thanksgiving surprise visit Our president of the united states Trump met American soldiers at Bagram Airfield. In his time there, Trump talked about how US forces are "wiping out ISIS militants left and right.” He also states “There’s almost nothing left in this area. And al-Qaida, the same thing. And tremendous progress. This is very important because its showing progress is being made against these terrorist groups in order to keep us as far away from harms way and to abolish them in general.
A western official stated that Isis is "down to roughly 1000 from previous estimates that claimed the group was fielding several thousand fighters." With numbers getting this low the chances that the United states are going to withdraw some of their troops is going up meaning more people get to go home to their families.
The Taliban wanted to make a peace deal with the United States in order to slow the amount of pressure that is being put on them. This is sowing signs of weakness, The united stated was negotiating with the Taliban But in September 2019 trump Canceled all negotiations due to a deadly bombing in Afghanistan that claimed the life of a American Service Member.
My thoughts: I don't believe that the United states should stop applying pressure because they are going to overwhelm the Taliban sooner or later causing them to either all die or surrender. I wouldn't risk withdrawing troops now that they are making progress against the terrorist group. This will ensure in the long run that everyone single soldier in Afghanistan will be able to come back home.

Another issue that is quite important is the safety of the Kurdish people in Syria. Without United States troops, both Turkey and the Islamic State are able to make incursions on the border of Rojava, which is a safe haven for the Kurds. Without the United States Army in position, the Rojava territory is vulnerable to military actions that are ethnically motivated and designed on the elimination of the Kurdish people. While the Kurdistan Workers' Party can attempt to mitigate this damage, the ignorance displayed by United States military leaders is obvious and frightening.

Thats crazy to know how such an ongoing dispute is finally showing progress. It also saddened in minds of those that have been affected, and for once gave them hope for the treaty being constructed.
