The U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a drone strike to kill an Iranian general, Qassem Soleimani. This issue has created tension between the U.S. and Iran. Even after the strike was initiated and completed on January 3rd, the U.S. has struggled to explain and justify why the country had the infamous commander killed.
Trump told reporters that "Soleimani was plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel but we caught him in the act and terminated him."The Trump administration briefed Congress last Wednesday. Following the meeting, Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah said it was "probably the worst briefing, at last on a military issue, I've seen in the nine years I've been here."
Soleimani's death brought the United States and Iran to the brink of war. Iraq began calling for US troops in their country to leave. Facing intense questions about the necessity of killing the Iranian general.
This just proves that Donald Trump's actions to defend the United States are very impulsive. Whether people view that as a good or bad thing, does not dismiss the tension that has recently been created by Trump. Will this lead to another World War?
I still cant believe what was going on in the United States and with Trump, what he order to do in Iran was very wrong because he almost made us go to war with Iran. The fact that you blogged about this is very interesting to me because I didnt know about some of these things that you stated and now I am more aware of what was actually going on because before I did not have a very clear understanding of this matter. I think that Donald Trump shouldnt even be president I feel like hes is not mature enough and doesnt know what he is doing to this country.
