One Million Dollars Donated by Pink to Fight Pandemic

     After being tested positive for coronavirus, the 40 year old celebrity claimed it was wrong for the government to limit the availability of testing to the nation for coronavirus. She stated, "It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely available ... this illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities". As she recognize the government seemed to lack initiation in responding properly to the pandemic, she became involved by donating $1 million in order to contribute in the battle against coronavirus.

     The money donated by Pink was split between the Philadelphia's Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund and the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund, each receiving $500,000. With 1.1 million people being tested positive for coronavirus throughout the world and more than 60,000 deaths due to the virus according to Johns Hopkins, everyone must act in a way to hopefully protect the world. It is not asked that each person donate money such as Pink, but recommended and in many states instructed that we stay home in order to isolate ourselves from others.
