opening up

Throughout this quarantine many states have closed down, or have had a shelter in place act put on their respected state. As time goes on however more and more state senators believe that they can start to open up soon. In fact Florida has already started to open places back up, most impactful might be their beaches which they announced they are re-opening for public use. Other states are now following this trend, Georgia, Nevada, Texas, Montana, North Carolina, are just a few of the many states that are supposedly going to start opening up again at the end of the month. This is not a guaranty however since we have seen many states keep pushing back their opening dates. Also some people agree with the states opening, and some people disagree with it saying that we need more time for this pandemic to slow down and become more under control before we let people roam around again. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions so wether or not you agree with it is up to you, but it seems people believe that we are able to start re-opening sooner rather than later.

    I think it is pretty clear that opening states back up will increase the spread of coronavirus since it will be increasing exposure to new individuals. At the same time, it doesn’t seem like this epidemic is going to get better soon so it’s just a matter of time before we are forced to open back up in order to stop the economy from shutting down and to keep people employed.

    I think it really depends on the location. Certain places have a lot more cases than others so its probably okay and likely beneficial for some cities and states to start re-opening. In addition, some lower income communities are fighting the stay at home orders so that they can return to work to provide for themselves and their family.
