Kerner Commission

He was the Presidents national Advisory Commission on the Civil Disorder.  Kerner released a report to disprove racism as the primary cause of the recent surge of riot. In July 1967 they uncovered the causes of urban riots and recommend solution. The report was that "our nation is moving toward two societies, one black, one white - separate and unequal." They expanded aid for African American communities so that they would be able to prevent more racial violence and polarization. This report identified more than 150 riots and major disorders between 1965 and 1968.
