Spook Hunters.
The Spook Hunters were a gang or group of young racists white people from South Gate, California. They started in the 1940s and ended in the 1950s. The Spook Hunters were created because of the growth of the African American population in the city of Los Angeles. These people got the word "Spook" as a reference to the dark skin African Americans. The Spook Hunters were the first All White gang in Los Angeles.

Middle class black families were beginning to move to where the Spook Hunters were at this was many due to that there was better jobs and opportunities as well as affordable housing. When families would move there that weren't white the Spook Hunters would kick them out and they would hurt black students from Fremont high located in south central. Even though this gang was there later on black families began to take over and started to live on the West side of Compton while the East still remained with whites. In the late 1950 whites were starting to fear the fact that colored people were beginning to populate more in Compton High. This is why now in our schools it is more diverse and it doesn't matter were colored and whites live now we all kinda live near and this is not a problem no more.
