Parties

There are two major political parties in the USA, but there are also a bunch of small ones that people don't really pay attention to.

The two major parties we know are the Democratic party and the Republican party.

The Democratic party supports egalitarianism which means that they think everyone is equal and deserve to have equal opportunities and rights, they also support social equality. Other important things that they support: voting rights to all, LGBT community rights, and minority rights.

As for the Republican party their focus is mainly supporting the ideas of free market capitalism, traditional values, strong national defense, free enterprise, business, deregulation and restrictions on labor unions.

Here are some other parties:

Libertarian Party is about non-internationalism, limiting size and scope of the government, they also support civil liberties.

Green Party based on mainly social justice, non violence, and are environmentalists.

Constitution Party is about Christian rights, social conservatism.

A bit more of an understanding and background of each party.
