Police brutality has always been an issue in America. However as we are moving towards equality we are more aware of the severity of the issue. Micheal Brown a 18 year old was brutally shot and killed by a Missouri police officer.
The altercation between the cop and the teen caused a lot of controversy due to the fact that the cop was let out of the situation without any charges.
Background of Micheal Brown:
Many people described Micheal Brown as a "friendly Giant". Mike was one of the first to graduate from high school and was never the type to try and cause problem or fight. Might brown was unarmed when he was shot. The press attempted to paint Mike as someone who caused problems in order to justify the actions of the police Officer.
2019
Five years later on the same day of Mike's death. He father Micheal Brown Sr. asked to reopen the case. He says " As a father, I vowed to protect my children, I could not protect him that day and it breaks my heart."
This time around Mike's family is hopeful that they will get justice.
