Stress Caused from School

Many teens nowadays only ever say that they are tired and stressed.. from what exactly?

From a survey taken from 1,000 high school students, they have said that school is the main cause of stress, also 40% of parents who took a similar survey said that their children are experiencing stress from school. Both say that it is caused more by homework than bullying and/or social issues.

Due to all the stress about school work and bad grades, many students have opted to drop out, there are also different factors of why students drop out such as no personal connections with their teachers, and boredom due to the material not being very interesting.

Stress has been noticed by many schools staff and they have tried to relieve some stress which is always short lived due to all the tests, quizzes, and the constant competition against peers and rival schools to have the best grades and reputation to get into good colleges.

  1. I agree that school is a main cause of stress for many students. I feel like it needs to be taken more seriously. I also feel like if school isn't going to change any time soon then I should find other ways to make it less stressful. I figure that the five steps listed in the website below, self-care, changing your way of thinking, taking assignments step by step, setting goals that satisfy yourself, and managing time better, are ways to have a long lasting solutions for a better academic experience.
