Environmental benefits from quarantine

As Corona-19 has taken many countries by storm and has become a medical crisis, scientist have that there has been an environmental benefit from this all. In the areas that were majorly affected like China, an economy based on its factories and industries, has had to shut down production. This has been a significant benefit on the air quality and Co2 emitted into the air. Due to everyone also having to work from home there is almost no emissions coming from cars. This is true especially in California where cars flood the streets. Other impacts that everyday people have seen are the change in clarity in the Venice Canals.

  1. Amongst all of the chaos and stress going on right now, I think that this provides a nice break for the environment, and could start to help push us in the right direction to lowering gas emissions and pushing in a cleaner direction for the future. Once people see of much better the world and our environment are now because of this, then people might not want to go back to the old way we were living, but who knows we will just have to wait and see what people decide to do.
