On Monday, April 6th, Assistant Principal, Suzanne Woolfolk, sent out an email on behalf of 2020 Class Council Officers regarding senior activities. In the email, it was mentioned that Prom was to be rescheduled for Friday, August 7th. In my opinion, Graduation is far more important than other senior activities and though prom is an essential part of senior year, due to the circumstances, prom should have not been prioritized. Not to mention that it is rescheduled in August, which is the month that seniors will be moving away for college and the likeliness of having seniors attend the prom is not very high. Personally, it is frustrating to see that the Class Council did not ask, us seniors, on our prioritization of events. And while there is more risk hosting an event like grad with thousands of people, there are ways to minimize the number, such as only having immediate family attend graduation, for example.

This is very interesting I think Graduation is more important than prom because prom is just a regular dance just that its more expansive and people hype it up to much.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Graduation is more important because it signals that we've ended this chapter of our lives and that we are ready to move forward into the next chapter.
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with all of you that graduation is more important than prom. Although prom is a very traditional event with all high school seniors, I think we can sacrifice a dance for our graduation ceremony.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all saying graduation is an event that is more important to many because they grandparents and cousins want to come out and support their family member for making a huge accomplishment.
