Liebeck v. Mcdonald's Restaurants

This was known as a "Mcdonalds" coffee case and filed a lawsuit over this because of a hot coffee incident. It was a 79 year old woman named Liebeck who suffered from 3rd degree burn because after she ordered coffee, she placed it on her lap but then spilled it on herself which was an accident. A lot of people thought it was something  stupid when she was suing Mcdonalds, because she spilled the coffee on herself. But then they had pictures of her 3rd degree burn from the coffee, so once people finally saw the picture they were disgusted by it and wondered why Mcdonalds made the coffee so hot.

    Its super insane how a cup of coffee burned a women that horribly. When I saw the damage it was scary how serious her burns were. In this case I do believe its impact it has had through coffee shops and res truants has benefited businesses because they are preventing people from getting hurt.
